Roxie spent twenty-five years perfecting her craft in Allentown, Pennsylvania, picking up a sewing machine early on and never really putting it down. What began as simple hemming and repairs grew into a specialty in tailoring and custom sewing for clients who needed more than a quick fix.
Now retired from her original trade but not from the work she loves, Roxie brought her sewing machine south to The Villages, Florida, where she owns two properties and has become one of the community's most familiar faces — the neighbor everyone calls first for a hem, a repair, or an honest opinion.
Roxie's Alterations is the name for all of it — hemming, tailoring, and the sewing that started as a hobby and became a trade. One woman, one needle, one pair of scissors, and half a century of knowing exactly what her clients need.
